Nightly Ghost Walk of Davidson

One of the most famous Davidson, NC events is the ghost walk. Every night from 7 to 9 p.m., residents and tourists get a tour of some of the loveliest historical places in the area, and they just might be haunted. Marvel at the beauty of Main Street buildings and the Davidson College campus’ rich, local folklore. At only $10 for adults and $5 for kids 8 and up, it’s an activity you can afford on virtually any budget.

Live in the 115

From June through October, listen to live music for free once a month at John Franklin Moore Park. Enjoy fresh air and delicious food at this completely family-friendly and alcohol-free event.

Lunch in the Lot

One of the most entertaining Cornelius, NC events is “Lunch in the Lot,” which takes place every Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Oak Street Mill. There are tons of food trucks offering such a variety of local delicacies; you’ll want to come back multiple times to let you sample it all.

Music on Main

Every month from May through October, enjoy an evening of music on the Mooresville Town Hall lawn. Pack your chairs and blankets and picnic under the stars, or buy from local vendors who have the finest in community cuisine for sale. Enjoy acts such as Image, old school R&B; Concord, bluegrass; and the Moondance Orchestra, big band/swing, this July, August and September.

Mooresville Cruise-In Classic Car Show

The first Saturday of each month from April to October transforms Broad Street in downtown Mooresville into a classic car show. Whether you have a car to show or you simply have an appreciation for classic vehicles, stop on by and bring the family. Admission is free.

Concerts on the Green

On the first and third Sundays of the month, from May through September—with additional holiday concerts—enjoy a “concert on the green” on the Davidson Public Library Stage. Rain or shine, this admission-free festivity occurs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is friendly for all ages. Bring your own picnic food or dine at a nearby restaurant or vendor.

Music Jam Event

If the morning is more your scene, stop by Richard’s Coffee Shop on Main Street in Mooresville every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon to hear live music. The crowd is cozier than the open concert events, and admission is free.

Symphony in the Park and Fireworks

On June 27th, the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra puts on a show at the Bailey Road Park that literally ends with a bang. Enjoy majestic symphony music accented by a fireworks show after nightfall. Set up your blanket at 6 p.m. and bring the kids along for a KidsZone, where they can play with volunteers from Journey Church.
